Hi, I’m Julie and I’m the owner of “In The Picture”.  Art has been a lifelong passion of mine, originally inspired by my grandmother Dorothy who is an artist. Growing up in New Zealand I would sketch the beautiful ever-changing Southern Alps which I could see from my bedroom window. After studying Art. Art History, and Interior Design, I spent time living in Europe, visiting gallery after gallery, and soaking up the rich artistic atmosphere that can be found on every corner.

After a long career in nursing, I’ve returned to my first love, art. Combining my creative, artistic skills with my organizational, project management expertise, I oversee production, carry out Design Consultations and work together with my team to create beautiful framing solutions for you.

BRONWYN CROSSIE

Hi, I’m Bronwyn and I’ve been with “In The Picture” for 10 years, specialising in Design Consultations, Frame Joinery and Canvas Stretching. Having the opportunity and the passion to learn, develop and refine my custom framing techniques and skills has enabled me to develop framing methods that adapt to and enhance the unique quality of each piece of art I work with.

My personal taste in art ranges from abstract art, detailed drawings and indigenous paintings on canvas with my favourite artists being Antoinette Ferwerda and the Numina Sisters.

I look forward to helping you customise the design of your next framing job.
